April 30th 5k time trial

I have been running on and off since the New Orleans 13.1 and am officially kicking off my training plan for the Chicago 13.1 on July 22nd. This will I will be doing 5k and 10k time trials to track improvement over the next few months.

I ran the river trail here in Atlanta. Its a flat man made trail that out and back is just under 5k. Below is the GARMIN details for the run. I made it with an average pace of 7m 45s per mile. My 5k goal before race time is 7m per mile.

The Bob Callan Trail

I found a great trail behind the apartments we are staying in. Its a paved trail with great space and there are also some dirt trails that split off for some trail running.

Here is the route:

Rock and Roll New Orleans 13.1

I will start to back post some of my training runs for this race too, but below are some of the details from the Rock and Roll Series, New Orleans 13.1. The race was awesome! I loved the course layout and it was a relatively flat run the whole way.

We obviously prepared the 24 hours before by eating awesome local New Orleans food. My personal favorite meal was a penut butter and bacon hamburger for lunch the day before. We also didnt let the race deter us from having a late Friday night and enjoying the city while we were there!

Official finish time was just over 1H 53M, a personal best!

Long 7.0 mile run in Singapore

Just going to post the GARMIN data for this run. It was a really good long run that Ashley and I did during our last week in Singapore. We ran out and then a small loop at the end to hit 7.0 miles. Then took a taxi back :)
